How to Share an Order

Summary

In The Shed App, when an order is created, it generates multiple links that can be shared with customers or co-workers for various purposes. This article explains how to copy and use these links effectively.

Steps to Copy a Link

Option 1

  1. Load Order

  2. Click on Green Button in Upper Left-Hand Corner

  3. Copy your preferred link

Option 2

  1. Search Order

  2. Click on Manage Button of Order

  3. Choose “Share Order”

Why are there Multiple Links?

There are several different links generated for a single order, each serving a distinct purpose. Here's an overview:

Link to Online Quote

  • Sharing this with the customer shows the customer the Design step of the Order Form and allows them to:

    • Pay the initial deposit

    • When the customer opens this link, they are unable to edit the building or the order

Link to Order

  • Sharing this with the customer shows them the Design step and allows them to:

    • Edit the design of the building

    • Choose purchase methods

    • Pay the initial deposit

Link to Summary

  • Sharing this with the customer shows the Summary Step and allows them to:

    • Edit the design of the building

    • Choose purchase methods

    • Pay the initial deposit

Link to Finalize

(This link may not be available, depending on Finalize Order Availability setting controlled by your admin)

  • Sharing this with the customer shows the Finalize step and allows them to:

    • Fill out the RTO Application if the purchase method is RTO

    • E-sign and submit the order

Link to Track Order

  • Sharing this with customers allows them to track the progress of the order, and allows them to:

    • View Photos added during production

    • Make payments on the Invoice

    • View order production status
