How to Add Custom Colors

Summary

Custom Colors can be used to color match a color that the customer brings to you. After setting this up, you will be able to select a “Custom Color” option in the order form and specify the color on the fly while creating the quote/order. This article also explains how to create a “Custom Color Up-charge” to associate with the Custom Color.

Add a Custom Color

  1. Navigate to System > Catalogs > Colors

  2. Click Add Color

  3. Fill out the required info ( no HEX code will be required)

  4. Make sure to select “Custom” in the “Type” field

  5. Make sure to add a thumbnail image (The image shown in the screenshot is attached below for your convenience)

     

  6. Click Add

  7. Navigate to System > Catalogs > Option

  8. Make sure the custom color is an allowable color on the Siding, Roof, or Trim options that you intend to use it with

How to create a “Custom Color Up-charge” to associate with the Custom Color:

  1. Click on Option Catalog via System > Catalog > Option

  2. Add Option

  3. Select Miscellaneous as the category

  4. Fill in the required information

  5. Add

  6. Navigate to the color catalog via System > Catalog > Color

  7. Click on the Pencil of color you would like to add the “Custom Color Up-charge”

  8. Within the “Price Option” box search for the name of the “Custom Color Up-Charge” option

     

  9. Select Option, and Update


How to Specify a Custom Color in the Order Form

  1. Click New Order

  2. In the Design select “Color”

  3. Select “Custom Color”

  4. Enter the hex code of the color you would like to use or select color within color grid
