TSA Payments Guide

TSA Payments is an embedded payment processor that allows you to process payments seamlessly within The Shed App. It enables in-app refunds, ACH payments, and provides detailed reporting for better financial management.


How to Get Started with TSA Payments

  1. Navigate to: System > Settings > Payment > TSA Payments

  2. Click "Submit TSA Payments Application."

  3. Follow the prompts to complete and submit your application.

  4. While your application is being reviewed, you can continue accepting payments via Stripe.

  5. Once your application is approved, you can switch to TSA Payments as your payment processor.


How to Accept ACH Payments

ACH payments allow customers to pay directly from their bank accounts, eliminating the need for paper checks.

  1. Create a new order in the order form.

  2. Proceed to the "Summary" of the order form.

  3. Click "Continue" and proceed to payment.

  4. Select "ACH" as the payment method.

  5. Enter the customer’s routing number.

  6. Enter the account number twice to confirm.

  7. Select "Personal" or "Business" to indicate the type of account.

  8. Click "Receive Payment."

💡 Important: ACH payments take 4 business days to clear and be deposited in your account.


How to Manage TSA Payments

Once TSA Payments is activated, two new reports will be available in your account:

  1. TSA Payments Report:

    • View all payments processed through TSA Payments.

    • Refund payments directly from this report.

    📍 Navigate to: Reports > TSA Payments

  2. TSA Deposits Report:

    • View all deposits made to your connected bank account.

    • Export detailed deposit breakdowns in CSV format.

How to Refund a Payment

  1. Go to Reports > TSA Payments.

  2. Use the available filters to find the transaction.

  3. Click the refund option next to the payment.

  • Credit Card PaymentsDeposited in 1 business day

  • ACH PaymentsDeposited in 4 business days

How long does it take to onboard with TSA Payments?

  • Typically about 2 days from the time your application is submitted.

What are the fees?

  • Fees are displayed in your Service Agreement.

  • 📍 To view them, go to: System > Settings > Account > Service Agreement.

  • If you don’t see the fees, contact support@theshedapp.com to update your agreement.

Can ACH payments be turned off?

  • No, ACH payments cannot be disabled at this time.

Do ACH and Credit Card convenience fees get charged to the customer?

  • You control this setting in The Shed App.

  • 📍 Navigate to: System > Settings > Payment > Convenience Fee Settings.

  • Here, you can set whether the convenience fee is paid by the customer or absorbed by your company.
